I was looking at the alien.
I was looking at his strange, brown-toned scaley skin that was likely ideal for the harsh climates he lived in. I was looking at his large, black eyes that seemed to take just a little too long to blink than they should normally. I was looking at the slits for noses he had that seemed just ready to shut themselves entirely in a split-second if a sandstrom would catch him off-guard. I was looking at his mouth and jaw, the former of which looked too thin to even open properly when eating, and the latter growing thinner and thinner as it approached the chin. I was looking at his small slits for ears, who were barely

The green-eyed monster was restless inside its cage. The horrific snakelike creature twisted its body as it lashed around; striking at the bars that formed its prison with its own long, white body, searching for a weak spot within its enclosed space.

It called out, its voice ethereal and distant, yet terrifying all the same. With an ear-splitting clang, the creature struck at the bars of the cage with its powerful tail, rattling the entire structure as the steel bars struggled to hold themselves together.

For several thousand years, life on the planet of Kalendros was a notably peaceful one. The dominant sentient beings of the planet, the Selden, were herbivore, and avoided conflict amongst themselves as much as possible. A peculiar trait among a small percentage of the population was a minimal ability to understand and control plants and similar life forms with their will alone, thus making them exceptional farmers to fit their own needs. This unique ability, combined with the naturally fertile lands located throughout most of the planets surface, meant that the Selden were a remarkably peaceful race, settlin

The Laws of the Being:
1) All return, or none return.
2) Work together or die together.
3) No one shall be left behind or Forgotten under the Crimson Moon.
These three rules are the first thing a potential Being learns when entering contact with the Kalendros Defense Guild. Every single day the instructors hammer the maxim into the trainees head until every single one of them have it completely memorized inside-out. Ignoring one such law when on a mission could only mean problems. Consciously breaking the rules would be utterly catastrophic.

Prologue Knowledge
For an uncountable amount of time, hidden away in one of the most isolated corners of space, lived the being. A gargantuan creation, several times larger than any sun, living in complete isolation in its own corner of the galaxy, neither heard nor seen of. For several millennia, the great eldritch being lived entirely by itself, completely oblivious to the rest of the universe. It had never considered the thought of the existence of anything other than itself, and it would have likely remained that way until its complete disappearance with the rest of the universe.
Until chance decided otherwise.

Hey-o, everyone. Been a while, so I won't be surprised if nobody bothers with this journal over here.
Life's been, overall, hectic. I've been focusing somewhat on my own studies with a side of writing every now and then. What does that mean for this account? Well, right now I'm going to be using dA for the sake of writing practise and my own amusement.
Just thought I'd give a heads-up, let people know that I'm alive. Hope to see you all again soon enough.
